Shifting Gears

Riding a motorcycle is an enjoyable pastime for many people, a means of transportation for many others, and for some it's a way of life.  Regardless of our reasons for riding, we all have one thing in common:  the risk of being involved in an accident, often with far more serious consequences than drivers and occupants of other types of motor vehicles.

Motorcycle accidents can happen in many ways and for many reasons.  Some of the ways we can help to minimize the risk are:

  • keeping our bike(s) in good condition
  • riding in a safe and careful manner
  • always being watchful of what other vehicles on the road are doing

Sometimes, no matter how careful you are, you may become involved in an accident.  If that happens, the Association For Injured Motorcyclists (AIM) is here to assist you in one or more of the areas that you will read about as you browse through this site -- we hope that you will find it helpful and informative.

Ride Safe.
